Artist's Description
In Skagit Valley (WA) we live in a birders paradise. Year round we have innumerable birds and annually swans migrate by the thousands to winter over in the farm rich area fields. We often go out & sit quietly watching them graze and listening to their conversations which is an unbelievably tranquil privilege. Most of them are Trumpter Swans but this Mute Swan with it's orange bill made a more interesting color composition.

Thank you ladies. We have mute swans nesting in the Skagit Valley by the thousands when they migrate south. It's so peaceful to go out to the fields and just be still and watch them. I absolutely love hearing them honking back and forth in conversation until they settle down. This was my mom's favorite painting so the original now resides in her home. And Liz, I like the comment game very much too!.

Phyllis, I love the sublime feel of the painting you've done of this swan. The glow of the dying light gives it a luminiscent feel and the gracefulness is apparent. Well done!!! I like the comment game!! :) FAV
