This is a highly textural sculpted acrylic impasto piece painted in metalic paints. It's a new technique for me and I'm having so much fun with it. I actually "paint" with texture creating the sculpted effect I want then begin painting the piece with multiple layers of opaque and transparent layers finishing off with sponging paint just on top of the raised areas to enhance the texture.

Thank you for the feedback. Since it's a new technique, I always appreciate knowing if it "works" or not. I sure had fun with it and have another one on the easel right now. We'll have to see how it comes out.
