Description
We have hummingbirds nesting in the neighbors' yard each year and enjoy their antics. I had to try to capture one on the nest, which is not an easy task. I love the lichens they interweave into their nests and how solidly they attach them. Can't wait to see the wee ones flitting about.

Thanks Linda. I see you are a bird lover too. This piece is on mi-tints paper and the background was pounced with a dry paint brush after color shavings were sprinkled on the section. It came out soft and more like a blush of color which I was happy with.

This original painting just sold at the Art in a Pickle Barn Fine Arts Show! Yeah it has a home now! Several people were thinking about buying it so I knew it wouldn't be long. I am pleased that it will grace someone's wall. The prints and cards really came out very nice. Colors are just as rich as the original.
